Email

Enhance offer a feature rich POP email service. Our mail is hosted on MDAEMON mail server which gives us total control over the behaviour of the system.

Our charges are based upon £.25.00 per mailbox per annum plus a £40 per annum domain hosting charge which may be waived or reduced if we provide other services to you.

As the system will be customised to your exact needs, there may be a setup charge. We will discuss your requirements in detail before going ahead.

Email packages may also be bundled with web hosting solutions. Please ask for a personal quotation.

Email Terms and Conditions
The following terms and conditions apply to email services.
Size of mailbox
Each mailbox has a storage quota of 100Mb. This is in place to protect your account and others from potentially large volumes of email sent to a single address that could materially affect the email system server. Additional storage can be purchased. It is the mailbox owner's responsibility to ensure that his/her mailbox does not reach its allocated level. Enhance cannot be responsible for email lost due to full mailboxes. You can check your mailbox size from your control panel.
Passwords
It is the mailbox owner's responsibility to keep his/her password confidential, and to change the password on a regular basis. Enhance is not responsible for any data losses or security issues due to stolen passwords. Enhance recommends that you use passwords that contain numbers and symbols in order to prevent unauthorized users from guessing commonly-used choices (i.e. "12345", "password", etc.).

Control panels and server management
Fasthosts provides web-based account and server management via a control panel. This is designed to give you control over your account and the Microsoft Exchange server features. You can use your control panel to perform most of the routine account and server management tasks. Online help is available from Fasthosts' support website.
Scheduled maintenance
To guarantee optimal performance on the servers, it is necessary for Fasthosts to perform routine maintenance. Such maintenance often requires taking Fasthosts Exchange servers off-line, typically performed during off-peak hours. Fasthosts will give you advance notice of maintenance requiring the servers to be taken off-line whenever possible.
Security
Enhance makes every reasonable effort to ensure mailbox security at all times. We do this through a combination of various network security policies. We make every reasonable effort to ensure the integrity of data on our systems. On the rare occasions where there may be a problem with specific mailbox data, it is the mailbox owners responsibility notify to us. We cannot guarantee to restore data and we accept no liability for the loss of any such data.
Anti-virus checking
Enhance installs anti-virus software on its mail servers. This software is configured to check all messages coming in to and leaving the server. Messages sent between mailboxes on the server are not scanned. If a virus is detected, the message is deleted. No notification is sent to the sender of the message.
Anti-SPAM message filtering
Enhance runs anti-SPAM software on its mail servers. Mail is checked using the very latest techniques which monitor trends on a daily basis. We take every precaution to avoid rejection of genuine messages but accept no liability for the loss of such data, since the benefits by far outweigh the rare occasion that this may happen.
Ownership of data
All data created or stored by you within Enhance servers are your property. Enhance makes no claim of ownership of any web server content, email content, or any other type of data contained within the accountholder's server space or within applications on Enhance servers.
Customers are responsible for backing up their email before upgrading or removing mailboxes.
Use of email account
If Enhance identify a mailbox or domain that is causing problems; we will either remove the offending mailboxes or change their settings to resolve the issue. In extreme cases, we will disable email or suspend all services to the domain as appropriate
. Email retrieval and timescale
Enhance's policy on maintaining stable data-transfer levels includes a deletion process for email that has not been downloaded locally within 90 days of receipt .
It is the mailbox owner's responsibility to ensure his/her received email is retrieved and saved locally where necessary to ensure that important correspondence is not lost.
Enhance cannot be held responsible for lost items that have exceeded this 90 day limit.
Webmail
Our POP hosting service does not guarantee the provision of a web mail client, however since this facility is available on our server we grant you access to your mail and settings through the webmail program.
Mail sent through webmail should be copied to your own address if you require a copy for your records. Although sent mail can be stored on the server temporarily, the sent mail and junk mail folders will be periodically cleared automatically.
We recommend that the advanced settings on webmail are not used, such as shared calendars, and also do not recommend changing the themes.
Continuity of Service
Our servers are hosted in state of the art data centres with unlimited connectivity to the internet. We endeavour to maintain constant service but on occasion it may be necessary to take the servers offline for routine maintenance. You will be informed in advance if possible, and all such downtime shall be restricted to a minimum. In the very rare event of an extended period of downtime Enhance will make every effort to restore service as soon as possible and the maximum liability will not be greater than the monies paid for such service.
